1) The king waited for four years after Vashti was banished before his personal attendants
made a proposal to hold a search for beautiful young virgins to replace Vashti. (2:1-2)
2) There were 400 women taken to the palace for King Ahasuerus to choose from.
3) Women were brought by the king's order. They had no choice. (2:8)
4) The women were taken to the palace and placed under the care of Hegai, a eunuch. (2:4)
